Estancia Middle School is happy to say that we have partnered with Torrance County to offer Girls Circle and The Council for Boys and Young Men during the 2023 - 2024 School Year!

Boys Council.png

The Council; is a strengths-based group approach for boys and youth who identify with male development to promote their safe and health passage through pre-teen and adolescent years.  The Council meets a core development need in boys for strong, positive relationships.  In this structured environment, boys and young men gain the vital opportunity to address masculine definitions and behaviors and build their capacities to find their innate value and create good lives - individually and collectively!

Girls Circle.png

The Girls Circle model, a structured support group for girls and youth who identify with female development from 9 - 18 years, integrates relational theory, resiliency practices, and skills training in a specific format designed to increase positive connection, personal and collective strengths, and competence in girls.  It aims to counteract social and interpersonal forces that impede girls' growth and development by promoting an emotionally safe setting and structure within which girls can develop caring relationships and use authentic voices.
